Cassandra
Olsen-Draper

Cassandra began dancing at the age of 3 at Ballet Camrose Dance Company but has spent almost all of her time at the studio since she was born. She is trained in Cecchetti ballet, jazz, Al Gilbert tap,  many forms of hip-hop, lyrical, contemporary, and modern, and has completed training in musical theater. Cassandra has achieved her international Advanced 1 Cecchetti ballet exam, passed all of the Ballet Camrose syllabus jazz exams, achieved her Al Gilbert Tap 9 exam, and been certified in the Edmonton School of Ballet junior grades syllabus as well. She has worked with teachers and choreographers in various workshops and classes such as Christine Richardson, Sheila Kennedy, Shay Kuebler, Joyce Shietze, Margaret Flynn and many others. She now teaches ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop and contemporary at Ballet Camrose Dance Company with her mother and sister. Cassandra has both a Business Degree in Business Economics and a Degree in Education from the University of Alberta.

During her dance career, Cassandra has won multiple awards for solo and group performances, including best female dancer at Vermillion Dance Festival, best soloist at Coronation Music Festival, and Best Soloist Scholarship at the Camrose Music Festival, along with awards from many other festivals and competitions. 

Cassandra has danced in Los Angeles, California in July 2018 where she took classes and worked with choreographers such as Liana Blackburn, Chantal Robson, Justine Mentor, Ajaye Skeen, Mirhan K, and The_Stixx. She took classes at the Edge Performing Arts Center, took part in a professional photo shoot, and appeared in a music dance video!

Cassandra later danced in New York City on scholarship where she was able to perform a flashmob in front of the Winter Garden Theatre and danced in some of New York's most famous dance studios such as Broadway Dance Center and STEPS on Broadway.

She is trained in Cecchetti Ballet, Al Gilbert Tap, jazz, many forms of hip-hop, lyrical, modern and contemporary. Kaleigh Klammer
Instructor Specialties:  Hip Hop, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap
 

At the age of 4, Kaleigh began dancing at Georgina’s Academy of Dance and is now trained in all styles including Cecchetti ballet, Al Gilbert tap, jazz, lyrical, musical theatre, and various styles of hip-hop. She has trained at many studios in and around Edmonton: Dance Fusion Academy of Dance, Edmonton School of Ballet, and 3rd Street Beat. Kaleigh now teaches dance alongside her Mom, Georgina with Georgina’s Academy of Dance in Vegreville and Irma and she is a seasonal choreographer for Ballet Camrose under the direction of Colleen Olsen. As a dancer, Kaleigh has competed at numerous dance festivals and competitions across Alberta winning awards for her solo and group performances. As an instructor, she has received various awards for choreography, performance, and adjudicator’s choice. Kaleigh has attended international conventions including Los Angeles Dance Force Intensive (San Francisco), Manhattan Dance Project (Hollywood), Groove Street Productions, and trained with renowned instructors including Bradley “Shooz” Rapier, ShoTyme, Eric Malapad, Luther Brown, Harj Rai, Cameron McKinlay, Shay Kuebler, Alex Pesusich, Joanne Pesusich, Carlo Atienza, Kerry Koble, Curtis Ledger, Gail Ledger, to name a few. Local credits include performing in VCHS’ production of “Annie” and “Grease”, Walterdale Theatre Production of “The Fantasticks”, Hip-Hop for Hope, Northern Star Talent Search, and West Edmonton Mall Fashion Shows. Currently, Kaleigh works as a Registered Nurse in Edmonton and continues to grow her passion for dance through teaching and taking classes and workshops.

Anika Hennig
Instructor Specialties: Lyrical, Contemporary, Jazz
​

Anika began her dance career at a young age and has been dancing competitively with Shelley's Dance Company for many years. She actively participated in both dance and figure skating competitions, taking as many classes as she could to increase her training.  Anika participated in Alberta Ballet's The Nutcracker Christmas performances from 2010 -2014, working with company dancers and other dancers from the Edmonton area. She has had the opportunity to compete at Dance Power in Las Vegas and has performed in Disneyland as a Disney Parade dancer. 

​

Anika is a highly decorated dancer, competing on Team Canada in the World Dance Championships in both Germany (2016) and Poland (2017). She has won over 250 competitive medals and 50 different schaolarships during her competitive dance career. 

​

Anika has student taught many different classes at Shelley's Dance Company including acro dance and continues to work with young dancers today.  She aspires to dance professionally and is continually training to increase her skill set.
